An Issue to examine

Class starts in around 10 minutes and I've just remembered there's a blog post due today. Here we go.

I'm going to be writing a CRA very soon and need to blog about the topic and issue I'm going to choose. In lieu of diligent online research and consideration, I'm going to choose Hurricane Harvey as my overarching topic of discussion. The facet I shall focus on will be the issue of relocation and refuge for the people affected by this natural disaster- namely, where they are sheltering, their needs, and so forth. Quite honestly, I'm choosing this topic because it's the first thing I can think of, and I cannot chose a worthy alternative in the now 7 minutes I have left before class. However, this topic does have it's merits; due to the severity of Hurricane Harvey, it is being widely covered by many news sources, from large news stations to online sites such as Reddit to even podcasts and talk shows. As such, there is a wide variety of information available. As for the types of information I would choose to utilize, I would prefer online sources, because of their accessibility and also to find personal accounts of those affected by the disaster. I want refugee testimonies and statements by the people physically wading through the waters and piloting the boats, not some generic statements by a news anchor hundreds of miles away.

My time's just about up; class begins in two minutes and I'm fairly sure I've breached the word limit. Until next time.
